A routing level allows you to organize various routing parts and stock present in a routing assembly into groups of connectable objects. For example, you can place all wires and electrical fittings on the default routing level (0), all conduit stock and fittings on routing level 1 and all tube stock and fittings on routing level 2. Use either numbers or names to designate the levels. You can define any number of routing levels to fit your design needs.

Set the Active Routing Level in Preferences before placing parts or assigning stock. If you have no need to use routing levels then you can leave everything at the default setting of Routing Level = 0. You can edit the routing level of a part at any time using the Edit Characteristics dialog box. For stock, you can change the routing level in the Stock dialog box as well.
