      <p class="para_topic">You can access the <b class="uiTerm">General</b> tab from the <b class="uiTerm">Wiring Preferences</b> dialog box via <b class="uiTerm">Preferences&rarr;Wiring</b>, or through <b class="uiTerm">Customer Defaults</b></p>
      <div class="title_division">Harness name</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Harness</b> box assigns a value to all connections. manually or automatically, in the <b class="uiTerm">Connection Navigator</b> according to the <b class="uiTerm">Override Harness</b> value. The <b class="uiTerm">Component Navigator</b> assigns the value to components (either manually or automatically) in a similar manner.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Initially, this box populates with the name of the work part file without its extension.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Override harness Box</div>
      <p class="para_division">When on, the connection and component lists write the <b class="uiTerm">Harness Name</b> sing the provided value for all routed connections and assigned components. This applies to both automatic and manual functions.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">When off, the specified value applies only to those records without <b class="uiTerm">Harness</b> box values.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Create Terminals</div>
      <p class="para_division">When performing an <b class="uiTerm">Automatic Create Terminals</b> function from the <b class="uiTerm">Component Navigator</b>, you can use this value to determine to which set of terminal ports to create terminals. Choose between the following options:
      </p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Auto assignment method</div>
      <p class="para_division">There are three methods available to match entries in the component list to components in the assembly when assigning the unique identifiers given in the component list. Choose from the following methods:</p>

                  <p class="para_td">Attribute</p>

               <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
                  <p class="para_td">Choose this method when you want to match the value of an attribute assigned to a component with a value from a column in the <b class="uiTerm">Component Navigator</b>. The attribute should be assigned on the component, with the component, or its immediate parent, in the <b class="uiTerm">Assembly Navigator</b> as the displayed part. In the Routing programs, attributes are searched only at these two levels of an assembly, as searching at any other level is not feasible and/or might give incorrect results.
                  </p>
                  <p class="para_td">You must provide the column heading and the attribute title in the two boxes provided.  These column heading and the attribute title may be predefined for you in the XML Routing Electrical Application View file.</p>
                  <p class="para_td">When you choose to assign a component from the <b class="uiTerm">Component Navigator</b>, the system searches for components with matching attribute title and value.

                  <p class="para_td">The attribute value is obtained from the specified column in the <b class="uiTerm">Component Navigator</b>. If only a single component matches the attribute and value criteria, that component is automatically assigned.  If more than one such component is found, you must use <b class="uiTerm">Manual Assign</b> to explicitly assign components.
                  </p>

                  <p class="para_td">Component Name</p>

                  <p class="para_td">Standard assemblies functionality provides a component name, which is not necessarily the file name. With this option enabled, the system attempts to find components with a name that matches the value in either the <b class="uiTerm">unique_id</b> or <b class="uiTerm">connector_id</b> box of its component list entry. The box used for matching depends on context &ndash; <em>unique_id</em> is used when assigning devices and <em>connector_id</em> is used when assigning connectors.
                  </p>

                  <p class="para_td">Every assembly component has a file name associated with it. Choose this matching method to match the leaf file names (without <em>.prt</em> extension) of available components against the value of the part name system box in the component list.
                  </p>
                  <p class="para_td">Please refer to the currently configured display formats to verify the display name of <em>part_name</em> system box. This is the default option.
                  </p>

                  <p class="para_td">Component list column title</p>

This option is used when <b class="uiTerm">Match by</b> is set to <b class="uiTerm">Attribute</b>.

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Report routing errors</div>
      <p class="para_division">When turned on, the routing error report displays after performing an <b class="uiTerm">Auto Route</b>. On is the default setting.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Highlight wire stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">Stock objects highlight to represent wires from the <b class="uiTerm">Connection List</b> dialog box when <b class="uiTerm">Highlight Wire Stock</b> is turned on. When turned off, only the segments highlight. On is the default setting.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Bundle color</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Bundle Color</b> preference determines the color assigned to solids representing wire bundles. Note that if the bundle is made up of a single wire, the solid is assigned the color of the wire (if defined) rather than the default <b class="uiTerm">Bundle Color</b>. Using the <b class="uiTerm">Color Palette</b> dialog box provided by this preference option, select the bundle color. The Routing Electrical Application View File sets initial value of this preference
