      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A part library view file (.plv file defined in  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('routingadmin/view_overview.html');return(false);">Application View Files</a>).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Part Table files (.ptb files defined in  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('routingadmin/table_overview.html');return(false);">Part Table Files</a>).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">NX part and part family files (.prt files).</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">In Routing the selection of standard parts and the resulting routing assemblies are dependent on the completeness and accuracy of the information in these files. A major task of the Routing Applications Administrator is the maintenance of the information in the part library.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This section defines the recommended best practices for maintaining an entry-level part library and documents how to use three utilities, which are provided to help the Routing Applications Administrator perform this task. The entry-level part library utilities are:</p>
      <div class="title_division">update_fam_from_ptb &ndash; Update part families from part tables</div>
      <p class="para_division">This utility checks the consistency of the entry-level part library by performing a crosscheck between the information in the Part Tables and the information in NX part families. You should also use it to update the information in the NX part families, based on the information in the part tables.</p>
      <div class="title_division">ptb2ss &ndash; Part table to spreadsheet</div>
      <p class="para_division">This utility converts the information in a Part Table to a format that can be used by a spreadsheet. This permits a spreadsheet to be used to maintain the Part Tables.</p>

      <p class="para_division">This utility converts the information in a spreadsheet format into the entry-level part library Part Table format.</p>
