The PCF generates in the same directory as the work part, with the name equivalent to that of the work part. For example, if the work part name Piping01.prt then the PCF name will be Piping01.pcf. In the event that the PCF cannot be created, a prompt will appear with a file selection dialog box to specify a valid file.

The PCF is created using the data in the current work part. All piping components and stock located at the work part level will be included in the PCF. You can find the specifics of the layout of a Piping Component File in the Alias documentation for Isogen.

Stock and components will appear in a PCF as long as you define specific attributes. For components, you must define ISOGEN_SKEY and ISOGEN_COMPONENT_ID. For stock, you only need to define the ISOGEN_COMPONENT_ID. Their respective Alias Isogen counterparts determine the values of these attributes.

The additional attributes are added based as User Preferences, ISOGEN_COMPONENT_ATTRIBUTES, defined in Routing application view files as shown in the example below. These can be used to transfer additional information as annotation on the manufacturing drawing.
