      <p class="para_topic">Use <b class="uiTerm">Orient Stock</b> to change the orientation of one or more stocks on one or more path segments. You may rotate stock around the path segment and you can change its relative alignment with the path via the use of the stock anchors. You may also flip the stock about its profile port's rotate vector and swap the direction of the solid sweep that represents the stock.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Launch the <b class="uiTerm">Orient Stock</b> dialog box by selecting a single piece of stock or overstock in the <b class="uiTerm">Stock</b> dialog box and choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Orient</b> button. Select the path segments or stock solids that you want to orient. Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> when your selection is complete.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Orient Stock</b> dialog box appears when you select one or more valid stocks. A rotation handle displays for each stock showing the positive rotation direction. The placement of this handle is at the profile port, which is the side of the stock used as the starting point for creating the stock solid sweep. The values shown for <b class="uiTerm">Flip Stock</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Rotation (deg)</b> are from the first stock selected.

               <p class="para_td">A stock part defines a set of profile curves and anchors modeled in the X&ndash;Y plane of the stock part. Normally the +Z axis of the stock part is aligned with the alignment vector of the profile port. When <b class="uiTerm">Flip Stock</b> options is on, the &ndash;Z axis of the stock part is aligned with the port's alignment vector. This essentially flips the stock about the rotate vector of the profile port

               <p class="para_td">Swap between the two stock ports and the profile port. The values of <b class="uiTerm">Rotation</b> (degree) and <b class="uiTerm">Swap Profile Port</b> automatically adjust to maintain the current stock orientation.

               <p class="para_td">The angle between the profile ports rotates vector and a heuristic vector. The heuristic vector is orthogonal to the port's alignment vector and polarizes towards the positive Z&ndash;axis of the work part's coordinate system (or negative X if the port alignment vector is parallel to Z). This approach permits the routing paths to move without changing the orientation of the stocks. Since the profile port's rotate vector aligns with the stock part's Y&ndash;axis; this has the effect of rotating the stock around the path.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Set Rotation</b></p>

The anchors for all stocks, which contain the chosen anchor, are set to the chosen anchor and the stock positions translate to align the stock anchor with the path. If the chosen anchor does not apply to a given selected stock then the stock's alignment is not changed.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Negate Offsets</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">Use offset values to provide wall thickness in the <b class="uiTerm">Detailed Solid</b> representation as the stock profile sweeps. It is possible that when you flip the stock these offset are backwards. Use the <b class="uiTerm">Negate Offsets</b> option to correct this situation following a flip.
