      </table><br><p class="para_topic">This section of <b class="uiTerm">Preferences</b> sets all the preferences related to stock. The <b class="uiTerm">Stock</b> tab is available from both the <b class="uiTerm">Preferences&rarr;Routing</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Customer Defaults</b> dialog boxes.

      <div class="title_division">Choose stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option invokes dialog boxes to specify the part that provides the information for the default stock, which may be assigned automatically during <b class="uiTerm">Create Path</b> operations. See  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('routingtools/stock_assign.html');return(false);">Assign Stock</a> for an explanation of the <b class="uiTerm">Choose Stock</b> dialog box.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Style</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Style</b> sets the default style (<b class="uiTerm">Center line</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Simple Solid</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Detail Solid</b>) for stock display.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Choose anchor</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option is sensitive when you define a default stock. If the default stock contains anchors, the anchor names list in the menu. Choose a different anchor for the default stock from this menu. If there is no anchor defined for the stock, a message posts in the <b class="uiTerm">Status</b> area and the system uses the stock's origin as the anchor (&lt;None&gt; is shown as the anchor name). If you define anchors for the default stock then a selection list displays.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Active routing level</div>
      <p class="para_division">Stock connects only to parts of stock that are of the same routing level as the stock. This prevents stock from connecting to the wrong type of parts (such as tubing stock connection to conduit parts). <b class="uiTerm">Routing Level</b> is meaningful only when nested stocks exist in the routing part. See  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('routingtools/stock_overview.html');return(false);">Stock</a> for further information.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Stock as Components</div>
      <p class="para_division">There are two modes in which you can create stock; <b class="uiTerm">Stock as Components</b> mode and <b class="uiTerm">Legacy Stock</b> mode (see <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('routingtools/stock_overview.html');return(false);">Stock</a> topic for more details). If this option is not checked, then stock creates as solid bodies in the work part in <b class="uiTerm">Legacy Stock</b> mode. If the option is checked then stock creates as components in <b class="uiTerm">Stock As Components</b> mode.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Stock component folder</div>
      <p class="para_division">For Teamcenter, the <b class="uiTerm">Stock Component Folder</b> preference indicates an existing folder that you can access. All temporary stock components appear in this folder. If this folder does not exist, then the default folder is used. If there are two folder of the same name that match the preference, then the first one found is used. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">In native mode, the <b class="uiTerm">Stock Component Folder</b> preference indicates the directory where the temporary stock components create. If this directory does not exist when a stock component creates, the directory will then create. If you cannot create this directory then components create in the work directory. The preference can specify a relative or absolute path. An absolute path is the full path name to a directory where the system places stock components (for example, <b class="commandName">C:\Stock_Parts\</b>). A relative path indicates that stock components should create in a subdirectory of the current work directory.
      </p>

      <div class="title_division">Delete overstock along with stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option controls the deletion of <b class="uiTerm">Overstock</b> when the stock that the overstock covers deletes. If this option is on, then the overstock deletes along with the stock it covers. If the option is off, the overstock moves down to cover the next underlying stock. If there is no such underlying stock, then the overstock models with a minimal diameter or cross section. If stock is subsequently assigned to the segment(s) of the overstock, the overstock automatically covers that new stock.
      </p>
