      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Fitting parts are made flow sensitive by the assignment of a setting named <b class="uiTerm">FLOW_DIRECTION</b> to one or more ports of the fitting. The value of the setting <b class="uiTerm">FLOW_DIRECTION</b> determines the flow direction at the connection point of the fitting represented by the port.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The possible values that may be assigned to port flow are:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In &ndash; flow is into the fitting through this port.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Out &ndash; flow is out of the fitting through this port.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Either &ndash; flow may be in either direction through this port (this is the assumed value if Flow does not exist for a port, as for pre&ndash;NX fittings).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">None &ndash; no flow passes through this port.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Qualify part</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> accommodates the assignment of flow direction. Use the <b class="uiTerm">Fitting Port</b> dialog box to specify the flow direction of the port.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The default setting is <b class="uiTerm">EITHER</b>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Whenever a port is created or edited (in the case of a legacy port), the characteristic FLOW_DIRECTION is assigned to the port with the value given by the <b class="uiTerm">Flow Direction</b> box.
