      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Ports may be wave linked from a component anywhere in the assembly structure into the work part. This allows you to make routing connections across assemblies as needed. Note the following points:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The system allows WAVE copying of fitting, fixture and multi ports. WAVE copied ports behave exactly like any other non&ndash;WAVE linked (normal) port as far as their connection and display properties are concerned. </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">If you make a connection to a WAVE linked port in the work part, that port no longer displays &ndash; just like a normal port. In this particular case, the parent port from the component part, displays since you have made no connection to it. Conversely, a connection made to a parent port will not display it, leaving the WAVE linked port still visible and connectable. </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">When you identify any connected (not displayed) WAVE linked port, the interface causes that port to display and highlight temporarily. </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">All terminal and virtual ports of a multi port are copied as virtual ports. (<b class="uiTerm">Create Terminals</b> is not possible.)
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Fabrication stock ports are WAVE copy&ndash;able as a special case, otherwise stock ports are not allowed for WAVE copying &ndash; the main reason for this limitation is that stock cannot be cut back in the component part when a fitting is placed using a linked stock port. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the parent of a linked port is deleted, the linked port will still exists. The position no longer links to another object but Routing can still use it. You can re&ndash;link the unlinked port to another port through the editing interface for WAVE linked objects.</p>
         </li>
