      <p class="para_division">The part library view file sets up the menu picks used to select parts during the Routing <b class="uiTerm">Place Part</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Assign Stock</b> operations. You can set up any part groupings and hierarchy you like. There are just a few simple structure key words to work with.

               <p class="para_td">Every node listed in node part or node stock must have a node definition of its own. This definition either lists sub-nodes, in which case it presents another menu listing these sub-nodes, or it defines a part table or <b class="uiTerm">File Select</b>. <b class="uiTerm">File Select</b> simply takes you to a file selection dialog box so he can pick a part file directly. If the node points to a part table, you can select a member of that table from the <b class="uiTerm">Part Family Selection</b> dialog box (see part table file).

      </table><br><p class="para_division">A part table file provides the means to define different characteristics for members of a part family (a characteristic is an attribute defined and controlled by Routing). Each row of a part table files corresponds to a different part, having a unique part_number characteristic. More than one row of a part table can reference the same part family member, to handle such cases as one part being yellow and the other green, but are identical geometrically. Special mechanisms are available through a part table that are not available from part families alone. These are <b class="uiTerm">Applied Characteristics</b> and the <b class="uiTerm">Hide</b> option. A part table is required to allow Routing to interface to part families.

               <p class="para_td">Column lists the fields of the table in order. The <b class="uiTerm">Hide</b> option prevents you from seeing this field when selecting from the <b class="uiTerm">Part Families</b> dialog box.

               <p class="para_td">Applied lets you define characteristics that apply to every member of the table. This way it is not necessary to define that characteristic in COLUMNS and list it again and again in the table for each row. The <b class="uiTerm">Format</b> option of APPLIED lets you create a characteristic that is a combination of other characteristics.

               <p class="para_td">Data lists all the rows of the table. Each row is a different part number with different characteristics. They may all refer to one part or many parts. The parts may be part family templates or individual parts.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">RLIST configuration file</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Rlist configuration file is used by Routing Electrical only. It defines the import formats, export formats, display formats, and display filters for the <b class="uiTerm">Connection List</b> and the <b class="uiTerm">Component List</b> interfaces. The default file, ugwiring.cfg, resides in the directory defined by the environment variable UGII_RLIST_PATH. This file is an example only; the system expects you to customize it.
