      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can run your profiles from a toolbar or a menu. Check-Mate can generate files with .tbr and .men suffixes. To take advantage of this ability, create a local directory (for example, my_checkmate). This local directory is a central location for your custom checks and profiles. In the my_checkmate directory create the following three subdirectories:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="literalText">dfa</b> &mdash; holds all of your custom checkers and profiles.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="literalText">application</b> &mdash; holds your resource files such as bitmaps.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="literalText">startup</b> &mdash; holds the .tbr and .men files that Check-Mate generates.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">The NX menu bar mechanism expects you to define one of the following environment variables to point to the custom directory:</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Check-Mate use a search order precedence when looking for a location to write the startup directory. First it looks for <b class="literalText">UGCHECKMATE_DIR</b>. Next, it looks for <b class="literalText">UGII_USER_DIR</b>. Then, it looks in the NX working directory.

      <p class="para_topic">You can also define the paths in the custom_dirs.dat file and define the variable <b class="literalText">UGII_CUSTOM_DIRECTORY_FILE</b> to point to this file.

      <p class="para_topic">The software uses a default icon for the toolbar button. To specify your own icon, place the icon in the application directory.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To make a toolbar that contains buttons for multiple profiles, specify the same toolbar file for all of the profiles.</p>

      <p class="para_division">To access the options to create a quick access profile:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">Analysis</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Check-Mate</b>&rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Author Tests</b>&rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Create/Edit Profile</b>.
