      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Log files contain the resultant output data from Check-Mate. You have the option to save the results to: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The part</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">An external log file</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Both the part and an external log file</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Neither the part nor an external log file</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Types of Log Files</div>
      <p class="para_division">There are two types of log files:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> <b class="uiTerm">Internal</b> &ndash; The software saves this type of log file with the part. You can only view internal log files from the <b class="uiTerm">Validation Results</b> dialog box within Check-Mate. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> <b class="uiTerm">External</b> &ndash; The external log file works with the <em>Check-Mate Viewer</em> and the <em>Quality Dashboard (QDASH) Report Generator</em>. Both are Java based applications that run outside of NX and do not require any special license. The software saves external log files with an <b class="literalText">.mqclog</b> file extension.

      <div class="title_division">Save Log File Options</div>
      <p class="para_division">There are several methods available to save (generate) a log file.</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">There are options available from Check-Mate's <b class="uiTerm">Run Tests</b> tab. See <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('checkmate/run_tests_options.html');return(false);">Run Tests Options</a>.

         <li>

            <p class="para_item">Options to save a log file may be available from the <b class="uiTerm">Customize</b> option if the checker author includes a save option.
