      <p class="para_topic">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Region</b> tab options to divide the model faces into either the cavity or core region and assign colors to those regions. The difference in color defines the parting line of the product model, which can be used to automate parting functions.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Setting the Region</div>
      <p class="para_division">To set the region, do the following</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Region </b>tab, select <b class="uiTerm">Set Regions Color</b>. 
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">The faces that can be automatically identified as belonging to the cavity or core region will be colored accordingly. In many cases, there are faces that cannot be automatically recognized as cavity or core faces. These faces are listed in the<b class="uiTerm"> Undefined Region</b> section as crossover, vertical, or unknown faces. If you want to split crossover faces at their silhouette, go to the <b class="uiTerm">Molded Part Validation</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Face</b> tab and use <b class="uiTerm"> Split Face</b>. After the faces have been split, return to the<b class="uiTerm"> Region</b> tab to complete the identification of the cavity and core faces.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">Assign the faces to be formed by a slider to the side of the mold to which the slide mechanism is attached. For example, slides that are activated by an angle pin at the mold opening are attached to the core side of the mold. In this case, the product model faces that are formed by the slide should be part of the core region. Alternatively, if the faces are formed by a slide that is hydraulically activated within the cavity, the faces on the product model should be assigned to the cavity region.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Assign the undefined faces to either the cavity or core region by doing the following:</p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Set the translucency of the cavity and core regions so you can easily identify the remaining undefined faces and see the region they should be assigned to.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select the undefined faces that you want to assign to the cavity region.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Region</b> tab, in the <b class="uiTerm">Assign to</b> area, select <b class="uiTerm">Cavity Region</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Repeat for the faces assigned to the core region.</p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
      </ol>
