TSV lets you predict and manage key sources of variation to ensure an assembly meets fit, form, and function specifications. Variation is the difference between the nominal (as-designed) part size and the actual (as-manufactured) part size. TSV predicts the variation in an assembly due to the combined effect of tolerances, assembly sequencing, and assembly constraint operations. It also calculates the contribution of each tolerance to the variation.
