      </table><br><p class="para_topic">After you select a function from the <b class="uiTerm">Function</b> list box of the <b class="uiTerm">Insert Function</b> dialog box, the <b class="uiTerm">Function Arguments</b> dialog box opens.

                  <p class="para_note_body">There are two versions of the Function Arguments dialog box: one for Knowledge Fusion and one for Knowledge for Designers. Both dialogs boxes are described in this topic. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">To use the dialog boxes:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the correct data type for each text box. For example, enter an integer number if the variable's data type is integer.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>. 
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_topic">Knowledge Fusion returns you to the previously displayed dialog box with the function parameters filled out.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The top of the dialog box displays a data type icon followed by the function name. After the function name, there can be one or more lines for each variable in the function. You can think of each line as a row in a table with five possible columns. You can obtain tooltip information on each item in a row.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Column 1 - can be one of three items:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Unchecked checkbox - A required parameter that you must specify.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Checked checkbox - A parameter that you specified.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Invisible checkbox - An optional parameter. If the optional parameter has a default value, it appears in the text box.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">Column 2 - Displays the data type icon for the variable.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Column 3 - Displays the name of the variable.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Column 4 - Text box where you enter the appropriate value based on the variable's data type.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Column 5 - This column has an icon for different data types as follows:</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Boolean Value icon for Boolean data type - Brings up the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Boolean Value</b> dialog box and lets you select True or False.

            <p class="para_item">CSYS Constructor icon for Frame data type- Brings up the Modeling <b class="uiTerm">CSYS Constructor</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Point Constructor icon for Point data type - Brings up the Modeling <b class="uiTerm">Point Constructor</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Vector Constructor icon for Vector data type- Brings up the Modeling <b class="uiTerm">Vector Constructor</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">No icon - Icons do not display unless the data type is one of the above.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Displays the function's name followed by a list window that describes the function.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Lists each required input parameter by name, followed by an input box where you enter a value. The value entered must match the required data type for the function's input parameter.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Some of the standard data types are:</p>
               <p class="para_td">Number - a double precision, floating point number. For example: 3.14.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Integer - a positive whole number, or a negative whole number, or zero. For example: 11.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Boolean - Can be True or False. Select the check box for True, clear the box for False.</p>
               <p class="para_td">String - a double-quoted sequence of characters. For example: &quot;Test&quot;.</p>
