      <p class="para_topic">Check Surfaces allows you to specify up to five check surfaces for the current sub-operation. To select multiple check surfaces, set the options pertaining to the first check surface and select the surface. You can then select the second check surface similarly. When you finish, select OK to return to the Continuous Path Motion dialog.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Type of geometry used for the check surface can be either Face, Curve Directrix, or Temporary Plane. If you choose Curve Directrix as the Type, use the Directrix option menu to designate the Zm-axis, the current Tool Axis, or a specified vector as the directrix.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Stopping Position</div>
      <p class="para_division">Stopping Position can be Near Side, Far Side, On Surface, Ds-Cs Tangency, or Ps-Cs Tangency with respect to this Check geometry.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  CAUTION: The current Ds-Cs Tangency algorithm for situations where the Check Surface is tangent to a concave drive surface does not work in cases where the radius of the tool is only slightly less than the radius of curvature of the drive surface.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">Stock allows you to specify how much stock to leave on the Check Surface. No stock (Global Stock, Loop Stock, or individual surface stock) is applied to a surface if that surface's stopping position is On Surface.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Added Stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">Added Stock allows you to specify whether or not the Global Stock and Loop Stock specified for the Drive and Part Surfaces are added to the Stock value (described above) specified for the Check Surface.</p>
      <div class="title_division">None</div>
      <p class="para_division">None indicates that only the Stock value will be left on the Check Surface and no additional Global Stock and/or Loop Stock will be added.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Drive</div>
      <p class="para_division">Drive indicates that the Global Stock specified for the Drive Surfaces and the current Drive Surface Loop Stock (if any) are added to the Stock value (described above) for the Check Surface. If the current Check Surface is used as the Drive Surface in the next suboperation, the Added Stock option should be set to Drive.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Part</div>
      <p class="para_division">Part indicates that the Global Stock specified for Part Surfaces and the current Part Surface Loop Stock (if any) are added to the Stock value (described above) for the Check Surface. If the current Check Surface is used as the Part Surface in the next suboperation, the Added Stock option should be set to Part.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Intersection</div>
      <p class="para_division">If the Check Surface intersects the Drive Surface more than once you can specify the correct Intersection to stop tool motion. The default value is 1.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Subop to Execute</div>
      <p class="para_division">Subop to Execute is used only when there are multiple check surfaces. It allows you to specify which sub-operation to jump to if the current Check Surface is reached first. There are seven choices:</p>
      <p class="para_division">Next indicates that the very next sub-operation is to be used. This is the default.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Skip One indicates that the sub-operation after the next is to be used.</p>
      <p class="para_division">An example of this would be the following three continuous path sub-operations in a Drive Surface stock loop involving two intersecting lines L1 and L2, and a fillet arc A1 joining them:</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Drive line L1 until:</p>
            <p class="para_item">The tool reaches the point where the first Check Surface A1 is tangent to the Drive Surface L1, or</p>
            <p class="para_item">The tool touches the second Check Surface L2 on the near side.</p>
            <p class="para_item">If A1 is reached first, execute the very next sub-operation. If L2 is reached first, skip one sub-operation.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Drive arc A1 until the tool reaches the point where the Check Surface L2 is tangent to the Drive Surface A1.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Drive line L2 until it reaches some new Check Surface.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">If the Drive Surface Stock plus the tool radius is:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Smaller than the fillet radius, the tool will reach A1 first in the multiple check surface sub-operation, then execute the second and third sub-operations.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Larger than the fillet radius, the tool will reach L2 first in the multiple check surface sub-operation, then skip over the second sub-operation and execute the third sub-operation.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">CS Becomes Ds means that the next higher numbered sub-operation for which the current check surface is the drive surface is to be used.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Cs Becomes Ps means that the next higher numbered sub-operation for which the current check surface is the part surface is to be used.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Specify Ds brings up a Skip Geometry dialog so the user can specify a face, curve, or temporary plane. The next higher numbered sub-operation for which the specified skip geometry is the drive surface is to be used.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Specify Ps and Specify Cs work the same way as Specify Ds, except that you use the next higher numbered sub-operation for which the specified skip geometry is the part surface, or check surface respectively.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Remove Current</div>
      <p class="para_division">Remove Current allows you to remove the current Check surface from the list of check surfaces for this sub-operation. The list of check surfaces will automatically renumber to remain consecutive.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Reselect All</div>
      <p class="para_division">Reselect All allows you to remove all previously selected Check surfaces for this sub-operation. You can then select new geometry.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Previous Check Surface</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Previous Check Surface option is useful for sub-operations containing multiple check surfaces. It enables you to reselect previously defined check surfaces one at a time in sequence from last to first. Each time this button is selected, the previously defined check surface for the current sub-operation highlights. When the desired check surface is highlighted, you can then replace it by selecting a new surface.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The highlight color is specified in the Main/Part Boundary Color menu on the Manufacturing Preferences dialog.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Next Check Surface</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Next Check Surface option is useful for sub-operations containing multiple check surfaces. It enables you to reselect previously defined check surfaces one at a time in sequence from first to last. Each time this button is selected, the subsequently defined check surface for the current sub-operation highlights. When the desired check surface is highlighted, you can then replace it by selecting a new surface.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The highlight color is specified in the Main/Part Boundary Color menu on the Manufacturing Preferences dialog. All other geometry for the sub-operation is highlighted in system color.</p>
