Using and displaying a 3D in-process workpiece can require a large amount of memory to create the representation. To reduce the required memory and reuse the geometry, set your Customer Defaults to save the 3D IPW in separate (component) part files for each operation. Then, when a 3D IPW is needed, the software creates a component part in your assembly that contains the representation of the 3D IPW. This reduces the amount of memory required because the geometry does not remain loaded after it is used; it can be reused as long as the operation is up to date.
