      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Geometry Containment allows you to delimit machining to a specific area of a part. The containment setting influences the automatic  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_cut_regions1.html');return(false);">cut region</a> detection to prevent machining beyond the specified limits. You can define containment using radial or axial trim planes, trim points and trim angles. 
      </p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Containment Trim Planes are related to the MCS, not the WCS. Moving the location of the MCS will update your Trim Plane's Axial/Radial coordinates.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Other factors that affect the extent and shape of the cut area include:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The orientation and shape of the cutter insert (lead angle, heel angle, guiding angle).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The cutter clearance angle (<b class="uiTerm">Cutting&rarr;</b><b class="uiTerm">Cutter Clearance Angle</b>) can drastically affect the intersection point where the tool starts ramping into the part.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Interaction with other operations.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">Reducing the cutter clearance angle can help to clean up the last bit of material on an extremely tapered face. Or, you may need to change the trim point angular orientation from <b class="uiTerm">Automatic</b> to a user defined angle to help control the engage and retract from complex face geometry.

            <p class="para_item">Operation 1 is constrained by trim planes A and B. The cutter intersects the part at points A-1 and B-1, and can only remove the area shown because of its shape and orientation.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Operation 2 is only constrained by trim plane C. The cutter removes material along the entire part.</p>
