      <p class="para_topic">Trim allows you to specify boundaries that will further constrain the cut regions at each cut level. You may define the area of the cut region to exclude from the operation by specifying the Side Trimmed as Inside or Outside for Closed boundaries, or Left or Right for Open boundaries.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">You may specify a Trim Stock value (Cutting&gt;Trim Stock) as illustrated below to define the distance the tool will be positioned from the Trim Geometry.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Trim Boundary</div>
      <p class="para_topic">An On tool position is always applied to Trim Boundaries. You do not have the option of specifying a Tanto condition.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Surface Contouring</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Area Milling and Flow Cut drive methods can use Trim Boundaries. Trim boundaries are always Closed, always use an On condition, and are projected to the Part geometry along the tool axis vector. More than one Trim Boundary may be defined. You may specify a Trim Stock to define the distance the tool is positioned from the Trim Boundary, and Boundary Intol/Outol.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">The trim is treated as the blank and reduces the areas to cut. An operation's blank may be ignored if a trim boundary is within the blank. For example, if you have a large blank, and use a trim boundary to cut a small area of the part, the engage moves to the trim may start inside of the blank. If the material wasn't removed by a previous operation, this creates a collision with the blank material. </p>
