      <p class="para_topic">Drive Surface allows you to specify the Drive Surface for the current sub-operation. You have the following choices:</p>

      <div class="title_division">Undefined</div>
      <p class="para_division">Undefined indicates that no drive geometry has been specified yet. Legal drive geometry is required for a valid sub-operation.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Other Surface</div>
      <p class="para_division">Other Surface displays a Drive Surface dialog that allows you to specify the Type (i.e., Face, Curve, Directrix, or Temporary Plane) of the desired Drive geometry. If you choose Curve, Directrix as the Type, the Directrix option menu allows you to choose the Zm-axis, the current Tool Axis, or a Vector as the directrix used with the curve to generate an internal tabulated cylinder. You can specify the Tool Position as Near Side or On Surface with respect to this other surface. Tool Position also can be defined at the boundary level, at the boundary member level, and the group level, using Custom Boundary Data. &nbsp;You also can &nbsp;specify Stock to be left on the surface. Before selecting a face, curve, or temporary plane, make sure that all other information in the dialog has been specified.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When the Drive Surface dialog is displayed, the previously selected face or curve is highlighted in a contrasting color. The color is specified in the Main/Part Boundary Color option menu on the Manufacturing Preferences dialog.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Previous ds, ps, cs</div>
      <p class="para_division">Previous ds (or ps or cs) allows you to use the Drive Surface (or Part Surface or Check Surface) from the previous sub-operation as the current Drive geometry. The previous tool position and stock remain active.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If multiple Check Surfaces were selected in the previous sub-operation, the Check Surface used for the Previous CS option is the first one that was reached. If the preceding sub-operation was the startup sub-operation and no Check Surface was specified, then the Previous cs option is grayed out.</p>
