      <p class="para_topic">Standard Drive (Planar Milling only) is a profile cut method that allows the cutter to move along the boundary exactly as specified and eliminates the automatic boundary trimming functions used in Profile. Standard Drive allows you to determine whether or not the tool path is allowed to cross itself by using the Self Intersection option.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Each shape is traced and cleaned up independent of any other shape. Each is treated as a region by itself. Boolean operations are not performed between shapes. When cutting Depth First, each shape will be traced to full depth before moving to the next shape. The order of cutting will be the order in which the shapes were defined.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Standard Drive does not check for gouging, and overlapping cuts can result. &nbsp;All Check and Trim boundaries are ignored when using the Standard Drive cut method.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Using Standard Drive may cause unpredictable results in these cases:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Change of Tool Position (On or TANTO) in close proximity of a self-intersection of the boundary.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use of the ON Tool Position in a corner that is not reachable by the tool (the tool is tool big to cut the corner as ON).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Convex corners that consist of several small boundary segments, such as a boundary created from a spline to make a convex corner.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
