      <p class="para_topic">Starting and Stopping Position Method allows you to specify where machining of the geometry should start or end. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Machining direction is dependent upon the boundary direction and the direction parameter in the Follow Curve Motion dialog. When working with closed boundaries and Start/Stop on Unaltered Boundary turned on, the boundary direction also determines which part of the boundary the system recognizes as the drive curve. In this case, machining will always begin at the start point and move towards the end point. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Start machining of the selected geometry at its start point (or stop point if cut direction is reversed). If you select Drive Curve End as a stopping method, the system machines the drive curve to the very end (or to start point, if cut direction is reversed).</p>

               <p class="para_td">Engage the tool at the first point on the drive geometry that can be reached without gouging the check geometry, or as a stopping method, machine the drive geometry up to the checkpoint.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The Stock button allows the definition of stock values for the check geometry according to the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_mp_stock1.html');return(false);">Finishing Stock Options.</a></p>

               <p class="para_td">Start machining at the last contour position of the previous follow curve motion. This position remains unchanged by rapid and linear feed rate motions. The last contour position is not available for the very first follow curve motion.</p>

            <p class="para_item">The start/stop positioning method is useful in controlling when a tool should roll around a corner that is chosen as a start/stop position. This is only possible when Start/Stop on Unaltered Boundary is not activated.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">To use this: </p>

            <p class="para_item">Open the Follow Curve Motion Dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Deactivate the Start/Stop on Unaltered Boundary option.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a start/stop position</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the element at which you want the tool path to start/stop.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the point at which you want to start/stop, then select the corresponding element to identify the position from which to engage or retract.</p>
         </li>
