Cutter Compensation is a feature provided on many machine tool controllers to compensate for variations between the specified size and the actual size of the cutter. This option helps you to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the part. Although Cutter Compensation can be specified for any processor as a post command, this interactive button is only available for Planar and Cavity Mill, and WireEDM. Cutter Compensation is not applied to zig, zig-zag, or zig with contour cut types. It is applied to follow part, follow periphery, and profile cut types.
