Rename File

The Rename File menu allows you to rename the MDF file.
A file can be renamed at any time and any subsequent save is to the new
file. If you are creating a new MDF by editing an existing MDF, we recommend
that the first thing you do is "RENAME" it so that you don't
inadvertently destroy the original MDF.

Enter the Character values which represents the new
name you have selected for the MDF.

If you enter a new file name which already exists indicate
whether to delete the existing file.

If you select Yes, the Generate MDF menu will appear.
Even though you have selected to delete the existing MDF, it is not deleted
until you Save the current MDF that has the same name. It is important
that you Save the new MDF now because the file is not automatically saved
for you. To Save the file select option 14, File/Terminate.

If you select No, a message is displayed to enter the
new MDF File name.

The Generate MDF menu is redisplayed when you select
a name that does not already exist or you select to delete the existing
MDF.

File/Terminate

The File/Terminate menu is actually two menus.

The first menu is to save or not to save the current
MDF file. If you chose to Save, all current data is written out to the
file in the current directory in a file having the extension .MDFA. You
can Save your file at any time but you must Save it before you terminate
the session in the MDFG. The file is not automatically saved at termination.

The second menu allows you to return to the Generate
MDF menu and continue editing the current MDF or to terminate the current
editing session. If Terminate Current Editing is chosen, you are returned
to the main menu where you can begin a new session or leave the MDFG.
