      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Internally, the system uses a reference point on the tool to calculate tool paths. This is called the tracking point. Tracking points are associated to a tool corner radius so that, when you choose a tracking point, the Turning processors use the associated corner radius to determine cut regions, collision detection, tool paths, In-process Workpiece (IPW), and to position to avoidance geometry.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Turning system uses a default corner radius. In addition, you can select any valid corner of the insert as the active corner radius. The system numbers the corner radii successively and in a counterclockwise direction beginning with R1, the default radius.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Around the selected corner, you then choose any one of nine possible points (P) to act as tracking point. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">The tracking points are referred to as the concatenation of radius number, tracking point number, and offset number (adjust register), for example, R1_P3_13 or R3_P9_10.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">You can define multiple tracking points at any corner providing the tool offset numbers differ. The tracking points are saved with the tool in the part file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">For all tools, one tracking point must always remain active. For standard tools, you can switch tracking points, but you can never delete all tracking points. For grooving tools, you can switch the second tracking point on or off, but you must always choose one tracking point as the main tracking point. </p>
