      <p class="para_topic">There are five ways to create the CAM setup for your part:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Machining Environment</b> dialog
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">Select the configuration and the setup from the <b class="uiTerm">Machining Environment</b> dialog and then select initialize. The tables below explain the available options.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In <b class="uiTerm">NX Library</b></p>
            <p class="para_item">If you are in a <b class="uiTerm">Teamcenter</b> environment, or if your configuration includes LIBRARY_SETUP_TEMPLATE, such as cam_library, then the software classifies and retrieves the setups through <b class="uiTerm">NX Library</b>. See <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/cust_data_manag.html');return(false);">Data Management</a> for more information.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a new setup on the CAM Express home page</p>
            <ol type="1" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Start Manufacturing from the CAM Express role.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Open the part you want to machine.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Create a new setup for this model</b> on the CAM Express home page.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the <b class="uiTerm">Manufacturing &ndash; Express</b> palette
            </p>

                  <p class="para_item">Select the <b class="uiTerm">Manufacturing &ndash; Express</b> palette <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mfg_express_palette.gif" border="0"> in the Resource Bar.
                  </p>
               </li>

                  <p class="para_item">Select your setup from the graphical list. For example, <b class="uiTerm">Machinery_Express (Inch)</b>.

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">With a customized palette</p>

                  <p class="para_item">Select the palette in the Resource Bar.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select your setup from the graphical list.</p>
               </li>

            <p class="para_item">To create a <b class="uiTerm">Palette</b>:

                  <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Preferences</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Manufacturing</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>

                  <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Manufacturing Preferences</b> dialog box, click the <b class="uiTerm">Configuration</b> tab.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Add Palette</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm"> Library Class Selection</b> dialog, select either <b class="uiTerm">Inch</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Metric</b>, depending on the units of your part.
                  </p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">As you create more palettes we suggest you don't mix units on a single palette, but instead create separate palettes for inch and metric. </p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Do not switch between <b class="uiTerm">Teamcenter</b> and <b class="uiTerm">native</b> environments during a session<br>It is recommended that users start <b class="uiTerm">NX</b> in either <b class="uiTerm">Teamcenter</b> or <b class="uiTerm">native</b>, with the correct  <b class="uiTerm">CAM</b> configuration specified to match. If a user needs to work in <b class="uiTerm">CAM</b> in both environments, they should have two ways to start <b class="uiTerm">NX</b>, so that the <b class="uiTerm">CAM</b> configuration is set before <b class="uiTerm">NX</b> is started. This can be done with batch files, or using multiple .env files.
