      </table><br><p class="para_topic">This example creates a sample sequence using the SEQUENCE_TOOL geometry group, which is in the mold_sequences template.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To create a tool sequence:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enable level based IPW in preferences</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the session configuration to mill_contour. Either:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">If the part doesn't have an existing setup, from the Machining Environment dialog, set CAM Session Configuration to mill_contour, and CAM Setup to mill_contour, then select Initialize.</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">Or,</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">&nbsp;If the part has a setup, go to Preferences &rarr; Manufacturing &rarr; Configuration, and select mill_contour</p>
               </li>
            </ul>

                        <p class="para_note_body">This step is important because the mold sequence templates are only available with the mill_contour and mold_sequences setups.</p>

            <p class="para_item">The blank geometry must be defined in a geometry group. If you have not yet done this, edit the workpiece, and select the blank geometry.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Create Geometry. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Create Geometry dialog, set the Type to: mold_sequences, and the subtype to: SEQUENCE_TOOL  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/sequence_tool_lc.gif" border="0">. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the Parent Group to the workpiece where you selected the blank geometry and select OK. A blank is required for level based IPW, and must be selected in the parent group.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select OK to create a mill area group called SEQUENCE_TOOL</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the SEQUENCE_TOOL dialog, select the part geometry (if it isn't inherited from the workpiece).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To machine the entire part, select OK without selecting a cut area, and the system then tries to cut all the faces on the part. </p>
            <p class="para_item">To only machine some of the part, select Cut Area, then select the geometry that you want to cut, and select OK. This option selects the faces or surface region to machine with this sequence.</p>
            <p class="para_item">Select OK to close the SEQUENCE_TOOL dialog</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">View the operations you created in this group. </p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Display the Geometry View in the Operation Navigator.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Expand the TOOL_SEQUENCE group. </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Look at the operations and make any changes before generating.</p>
               </li>
            </ol>
            <p class="para_item">There are five cavity mill operations, and each has a different tool. Each operation dialog is customized to include the Use Tool Holder, and Minimum Volume options. These options are also set to reasonable start values. To improve performance, only the first operation reports the shortest tool required. </p>
            <p class="para_item">Each of the 5 tools is progressively longer, and each operation uses  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgmilling/cav_cut_ipw.html');return(false);">Level-Based IPW</a>.

            <p class="para_item">Select the group and generate</p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_topic">Note: Like other sequences, you can modify tool sequences as necessary. This example demonstrates how holder checking works with minimum volume. If an operation does not satisfy this percentage, its tool path is suppressed from output and from participating in the IPW.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Additional Sequences</div>
      <p class="para_division">The previous process created one machining sequence for some or all of the workpiece. If needed, you can create more sequences for other cut areas on the same workpiece, or for another workpiece. </p>
