      <p class="para_topic">Multi ramp patterns are selected when machining a long cut where the inclination created by the difference between maximum and minimum depth is so small as to resemble that of a linear cut. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To select a multi ramp pattern:</p>

         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">select the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_r_ramp_mode.html');return(false);">ramping mode</a></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">you may select a multi ramp pattern as follows:</p>

                     <p class="para_td">ramp out only - the tool starts with a deep cut with the cut depth diminishing until the minimum depth is reached and plunges back into the material up to maximum depth of cut. This process is repeated.</p>

                     <p class="para_td">ramp out/in - the tool starts with a deep cut and progresses with the cut depth diminishing until the minimum depth is reached. From this point the tool begins another ramped cut going back down into the material until the tool reaches the maximum depth of cut.</p>

                     <p class="para_td">ramp in only - the tool begins at minimum depth and progresses with the cut depth increasing until the maximum cut depth is reached. The tool then moves back to the minimum depth and repeats the ramped cut &nbsp;into the material.</p>

                     <p class="para_td">ramp in/out - the tool begins at minimum &nbsp;depth and ramps &nbsp;into the material until it reaches the maximum depth. From there, it ramps out of the material until it reaches the minimum depth of cut.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Ramp Length</div>
      <p class="para_division">The maximum ramp length (L) partitions a rough cut into multiple ramps as follows:</p>

      <p class="para_division">This maximum ramp length chosen cannot exceed the overall distance to rough cut for the respective depth level.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">If you select a value L greater than the overall length of the cut region, the system will fall back to the ramping mode specified. For instance, if the multi ramp pattern ramp out/in is chosen, the system will create single &quot;ramp out&quot; passes only. Similarly, the system &nbsp;creates single &quot;ramp in&quot; passes if &nbsp;the multi ramp pattern ramp in/out is chosen. </p>
