      </table><br><p class="para_topic">To create a tool holder for your insert, follow these steps:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a tool or open an existing tool (for information on how to do this, see the <cite class="titleReference">Manufacturing General Help</cite>&rarr;Parent Groups&rarr;Tool Groups&rarr;Overview).
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">On the tool dialog, select the Holder tab.&nbsp;</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">The Holder tab and all its options are customizable items which, by default, are not shown in the tool dialog. If you do not see these options on the tool dialog, you will have to customize the dialog to show them. See the<cite class="titleReference"> Manufacturing General Help</cite>&rarr;Customizing Your Environment&rarr;Customizing a Dialog.

            <p class="para_item">Select the Use Turn Holder option to activate the tool holder parameter fields.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select one of the tool holder styles from the Style drop-down list. There are no styles available for threading or form tools.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select whether your holder is left-hand, right-hand or neutral. For grooving tools, you must designate whether the holder is at a 0 or 90 angle. &nbsp;The hand directions available depend on the holder style you choose. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select whether your holder has a round or square shank shape using the Shank Type option.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the parameters that are specific to the holder style you selected in step 4. Use the abbreviations in the tool sketch to help you see which parameter you are inserting.&nbsp;</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">If none of the holder styles satisfactorily defines your desired insert/holder relationship, you should deactivate the Use Tool Holder check box and use only the insert definition parameters.</p>

            <p class="para_item">To see your tool holder in the graphics window, select Display Tool.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click OK to save your holder. </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_topic">Now, in the future, when you visualize a turning operation that uses this tool, the holder is represented in the graphics window.</p>
