The system stores the MCS and RCS in this orientation group. If you move an operation from one orientation group into another orientation group it inherits the MCS, RCS, Clearance Plane, and other parameters of the new orientation group. If the MCS is the only thing different in the new orientation group, it is not necessary to regenerate the operation in order to have the path updated with the current MCS data. You can list or postprocess the path in the new orientation without regeneration. The system indicates this with the operation status Repost or Regenerate.

It is possible to nest the orientation group, and have the data specified in the nested group override that specified in the upper level group. For example, suppose the RCS is specified in the top level group, but a different RCS is required for another operation, even though that operation may use the same MCS and other data. You can create a separate orientation group, only specify the RCS in that group, and then create the necessary operations under that nested group. The system inherits the remaining data in the orientation group from the upper level group.

If you use the CSYS Constructor, you have the ability to create the MCS and RCS as smart objects. This links the MCS and RCS to the geometry that you used to define them. This way when you modify the geometry the system updates the MCS and RCS.
