      <p class="para_topic">In the following steps, you will define geometry within the existing WORKPIECE group. This group will contain bodies defining Part geometry which will be used for Planar Milling operations, Facing operations, and gouge checking.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Choose the Create Geometry icon in the main menu bar to display the Create Geometry dialog box illustrated below. Choose the Geometry View icon in the main menu bar. If you want to automatically switch the Operation Navigator view when invoking a specific Create Group dialog, you have to toggle ON the preference &quot;Switch view to match create&quot; which can be found in Preferences&rarr;Operation Navigator in the main menu bar.</p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Choose mill_planar (a below) in the Type option menu if it is not currently chosen. The selected Type option determines which &quot;Subtypes&quot; (b below) appear in the Create Operation and Create Geometry dialog boxes.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Choose the &quot;+&quot; sign (c above) in front of the MCS group to display the WORKPIECE group.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The CAM Setup you selected earlier (mill_planar) determines the groups that initially appear. In this case, the MCS is the parent of the WORKPIECE group. This arrangement works well if you wish to associate several workpieces with a single MCS. In this example however, you will associate several MCS's with a single workpiece. This will allow you to machine several different faces of the same part.</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Double-click on the WORKPIECE icon (d above). This displays the Mill_Geom dialog box which will allow you to edit the group and define the Part geometry.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose the Part icon (a below) if it is not already chosen and choose Select (b below). This displays the Part Geometry dialog box.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Choose Geometry (c below) under Selection Options and Bodies (d) as the Method. Select the two Part bodies as illustrated below and choose OK to return to the Part dialog box illustrated above.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Choose Save Layout/Layer (e above) in the MILL_GEOM dialog. This will save the currently displayed layout with the WORKPIECE group you are editing. Later on, you will be able to easily retrieve this layout.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose OK (f) to complete the editing of the WORKPIECE Mill Geometry group and return you to the Create Geometry dialog box. This completes the definition of the Part geometry.</p>
         </li>
