      <p class="para_topic">The Helical Diameter represents the maximum path diameter the tool may trace to mill a hole into the part without leaving a pillar of material at the center of the hole (as shown below). &nbsp;Use Helical Diameter whenever a helical engage is performed into material.</p>

            <p class="para_item">In the Face Milling (Planar Milling, Cavity Milling) operation dialog, under Engage/Retract, press the Automatic button. &nbsp;This brings up the Engage/Retract dialog.</p>

            <p class="para_item">In the Automatic Engage/Retract dialog, under the Ramping Parameters, specify the Helical Diameter.</p>
