      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Local Return allows you to define a location to which the tool moves, at a frequency you choose within an operation. You can specify the output of OPSTOP, OPSKIP, or DELAY statements to the tool path at a local return point </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The system does not output OPSTOP, OPSKIP, or DELAY statements unless the Local Return option is active.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can specify the following types of local return: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b>Distance&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>The system initiates a local return after travelling a specific distance, regardless of the tool's position on the tool path.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b>Time&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>The system initiates a local return after a given elapsed time, regardless of the tool's position on the tool path.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b>Number of passes&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>The system initiates a local return after a specific number of passes.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">For the first two methods, the system provides additional options to automatically adjust the intervals so that, where possible, the local return movement occurs in a convenient location at the end of a cutting move, instead of interrupting a roughing or cleanup pass.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Using the <b class="uiTerm">Return Move</b> option, you can specify the method to use for the move to the local return point.       </p>
      <p class="para_topic">For profiling in roughing, you can copy the local return settings using the <b class="uiTerm">Reset to Roughing Parameters</b> option (on the Local Return dialog when reached from the Profiling or Finishing dialogs). You can then adapt these to suit your needs.
