      <p class="para_topic">Cut Step is a cut parameter specific to Contour Milling.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Cut Step controls the linear distance between tool position points on the wall geometry in the direction of the cut. The smaller the step, the more accurately the Tool Path follows the contours of the Part Geometry. The value you enter for Cut Step applies as long as the step size does not violate the specified Part Intol/Part Outol values.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Tool Diameter and Specify allow you to adjust the size of the Cut Step so that small features are not overlooked as illustrated below.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">In the above figure, the part surface feature is overlooked because the Cut Step value is too large and too few drive points are generated. The Drive Points are too far apart, causing consecutive Drive Points to be generated to either side of the feature. Because there are no Drive Points directly on the feature, the tool passes directly through the feature.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">By reducing the Cut Step, more drive points are created and the feature will be recognized as illustrated below.</p>
