      <p class="para_topic">Machine allows you to simulate constant surface speed, specify the motion output, enter post processor commands in the tool path, and determine the spindle axis. Most of the options found in the Machine Control dialog box are common to other processors. Simulated CSS is unique to the Lathe processors.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Simulated CSS</div>
      <p class="para_division">Simulated CSS (Constant Surface Speed) is intended for use only on a machine tool which does not have Surface Feet per Minute (SFM) calculation capability. This option outputs SPINDL/RPM commands to the tool path at specified intervals in order to simulate SFM.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  CAUTION: Spindle speed changes are calculated and output for straight line cuts only. These can be tapers, chamfers, etc. but not arcs.</p>

      <p class="para_division">There are three methods to determine the SPINDL/RPM command output frequency: by a change in RPM, by distance from the centerline, and by number of passes. Each option is described below.</p>

         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Every Nth Pass</p>

      <div class="title_division">Every N Change In RPM</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you select this option you are prompted to Specify the Constant Surface Speed Data using the following parameters:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Srf Ft/Min</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Delta RPM</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Maxrpm</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">Enter the desired surface feet per minute (Srf Ft/Min) value and how often, in terms of the change in RPM (Delta RPM), you wish a new SPINDL/RPM value to be output. Then enter the maximum allowed value for RPM (Maxrpm).</p>
      <p class="para_division">Srf Ft/Min - this value (and the current diameter of the part) determines the RPM for each pass.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Delta RPM - this is a minimum change in RPM between passes. If the RPM does not change by this amount, then no SPINDL/RPM value is output to the tool path. This option determines how frequently the RPM changes.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Maxrpm - if this value is exceeded, the endpoint of the current move is output at the Maxrpm value. If Maxrpm is set to zero or -939, no RPM check is made.</p>

      <div class="title_division">By Ranges</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option requires that you enter the Radial Range (Rad Rng) value (distance from the centerline) and the RPM value to be output when the tool enters the respective range.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Radial Range is defined as a distance from the centerline. The RPM value corresponding to each Radial Range is output ONCE each time the tool enters that range.</p>
      <p class="para_division">For example, if Radial Range 1 is four inches with RPM of 100, and Range 2 is three inches with RPM of 200, Range 1 begins four inches from the centerline and ends where Range 2 begins (three inches from the centerline).</p>
      <p class="para_division">When the tool enters range 1, the system outputs a single SPINDL/RPM,100 command. When the tool enters range 2, (less than three inches from the centerline), a single SPINDL/RPM,200 command is output.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  CAUTION: The system outputs the entered RPM values when the tool enters the corresponding range; it does not check the validity of the input values. You must ensure that the sets of values input are appropriate to attain the desired speed.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Every Nth Pass</div>
      <p class="para_division">Every Nth Pass allows you to enter the desired Srf Ft/Min and how often, in terms of a number of passes (Nth Pass), you wish a new SPINDL/RPM value to be output. The system uses the N value entered in Every N Change in RPM and the diameter of the part prior to each user-determined nth pass, to calculate and output the required RPM value.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Inactivate</div>
      <p class="para_division">Inactivate deactivates the Simulated CSS option.</p>
