The angle and radius parameters are used together when programming the center of the tool nose radius as the tracking point. In Turning, nine tracking positions are available: one is the center of the tool nose radius, the other eight are at key square-form positions around the actual nose radius of the tool. The center of the tool nose radius is the only valid tracking point that you can use with the tool angle and radius parameters. If you select any of the other eight tracking positions, the system sets the tool angle and radius parameters to zero or suppresses the angle and radius output. When the system outputs the tool Angle/Radius, it is appended to the tool change statement for CLS export and listing.
