      <p class="para_topic">Boundaries may be either Open or Closed. A closed boundary defines an area. An open boundary defines a path. A closed boundary uses a common point to define the start of the first segment and the end of the last segment and has a Material Retained designation of Inside or Outside. An open boundary does not use a common point to define the start of the first segment and the end of the last segment and has a Material Retained designation of Left or Right. Milling operations may use either open or closed boundaries.</p>
