      <p class="para_topic">The collision processor takes pairs of components and/or classes and checks these pairs for collision. You can select any component, user class or predefined class found in your kinematics model. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Configure the collision checker as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Activate the first step icon in the Selection Step section &nbsp; <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icons_selection_steps.gif" border="0">. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the first component. You can do this by:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">using the Filter and Name buttons in the dialog or</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">selecting an item in the graphics window using MB1 or</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">clicking on the desired element in the Machine Tool Navigator, if the machine tool setup configurator is open</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the second step icon  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icons_selection_steps_2.gif" border="0"> or move from the first step icon to the second step icon with MB2.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Repeat step 3 to select the second component.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Apply. The pair appears in the list window.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>

               <p class="para_td">Filter</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" width="79%">
               <p class="para_td">Assists your selection of elements in the simulation. You can apply a filter permitting you to select only components or only classes. The classes are the classes that you assigned in the machine tool builder.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Name</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" width="79%">
               <p class="para_td">Shows a list of names of components or classes. If the filter is set to Component, this option menu shows a list of all the K-components of this machine. If the filter setting is set to Class, all system and user-defined classes are shown.</p>
               <p class="para_td">If you set the filter to Component, selecting the name of a component from the option menu also highlights the component in the graphics window. Picking a component in the graphics window also shows the name of the selected component in the option menu.</p>
               <p class="para_td">If you set the filter to Class, selecting the name of a class from the option menu also highlights all components of this class in the graphics window. You cannot pick a component in the graphics window while the filter is set to class as a single component can be a member of more than one class.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Collision Clearance</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" width="79%">
               <p class="para_td">Represents the amount below which a collision is indicated. This value is in the same units as your part.</p>

               <p class="para_td">List box showing Object 1, Object 2 and Clearance</p>

            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" width="79%">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the defined collision pairs. Object1 and Object 2 show the names of the components. If one of the members of a pair is a class, the name is preceded by the keyword class.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Each pair can be either active or inactive. The system shows a pair is active by a checked box in front of it. To inactivate a collision pair, uncheck the box. The collision clearance you assigned each pair also appears in this list box.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Remove a pair of elements from your collision check by highlighting the pair in the list box above and selecting remove.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  To change the clearance value for a pair, select the pair in the list of collision pairs, type in the new value in collision clearance and select the Apply button. </p>
