      <p class="para_topic">Machine Control events control the machine tool devices such as coolant, spindles, tail stocks or clamps.&nbsp;You can also use the machine control events to change modes such as incremental, absolute, inverse time, per minute, per revolution or constant surface speed.&nbsp;The following machine control events define the output for that event and establish some of the parameters your postprocessor uses to output the correct NC code.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The system can pass&nbsp; </p><a name="prog_toolpth_prog_mach_control_mach_con_param"></a><p class="para_topic">machine control information onto your postprocessor in two ways.&nbsp;One method is through parameter data.&nbsp;When you use this method, information that is specified as an operation parameter is available at the start of operation.&nbsp;This includes any feeds and speeds data, any data specified with the tool, or any cutting parameters such as stepover, tolerances, etc.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can also use&nbsp; </p><a name="prog_toolpth_prog_mach_control_user_defi_events"></a><p class="para_topic">User Defined Events (UDEs, also called post commands) to pass the machine control information onto the postprocessor. UDEs specified as Start Post come out after the Start of Operation in the order specified by the Operation Markers.&nbsp;The system outputs UDEs attached with the tool, machine tool, method, carrier or any other devices before the Start of Operation event.&nbsp;To output the start of the operation NC code, we recommend you collect all of the data (spindle speed, spindle direction, coolant status, length compensation, tool number) and output it as part of the Operation Start Sequence.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">For legacy operations, you have a choice of how you output and use UDEs to specify all of the machine control information. You can output in the traditional way where each UDE generated the necessary code. Or you can save all of the UDE information and output using the recommended method.</p>
