      <p class="para_topic">When you select 4-Axis, the Fixed Perpendicular Vector menu appears. This menu allows you to set (and then modify) the tool axis with respect to a vector. The tool axis rotates in a plane perpendicular to that vector. The tool orientation remains fixed and is independent of the direction of cut. (The Tool Axis Relative To Part option is similar except that the tool orientation is dependent upon the direction of cut.)</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Define the Fixed Perpendicular Vector using one of the Vector Subfunction methods. The tool axis will be perpendicular to this vector.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Refer to the Subfunctions chapter of the Gateway Online Help for details on the Vector Subfunction.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Then enter the desired amount of angular rotation about the vector. As the angle value increases, the tool rotates in a counterclockwise direction (looking in the direction of the vector). The tool axis maintains this orientation to the vector as it follows the part surface.</p>
