      </table><br><p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Non Cutting Moves</b> controls how tool path segments are linked up to form a complete, connected tool path within a single operation. Non cutting moves position the tool before, after, and between cutting moves. The non cutting moves for an operation can be as simple as a single <b class="uiTerm">Engage</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Retract</b>, or as comprehensive as a series of custom engage, retract and transfer (departure, traverse, approach) moves designed to accommodate multiple part surfaces, check surfaces, and lifts between cut passes. <b class="uiTerm">Non Cutting Moves</b> includes cutter compensation because cutter compensation is activated during a non cutting move.

      <p class="para_topic">Gouge-free non-cutting tool paths are accomplished with <b class="uiTerm">Collision Check</b> and the precise control you have over the construction of the non-cutting tool path.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To facilitate precise tool control, all non-cutting tool movements are internally calculated forward (in the direction of tool movement) except for Engage and Approach which are constructed backward from the part surface to ensure the spatial relationship with the part prior to cutting.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Forward Construction of Traverse Moves</div>
      <p class="para_topic">Calculating the traverse moves illustrated above in a forward direction allows the system to use the FROM point as a known, fixed reference position.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Inheritance</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can only specify moves at the MCS level for inheritance if they are above the clearance plane. You must specify moves below the clearance plane in the operation.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The default clearance plane is 5mm above the specified part, blank, or check geometry, whichever is highest.</p>
