      <p class="para_topic">Temporary boundaries are associative to the geometry from which they were created. This means that any changes made to the parent geometry will result in the temporary boundary being updated to reflect those changes. If you expand a solid face, the boundary will also expand. If you delete the face, the boundary will be deleted. If you add edges to a face, the boundary includes more edges.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Associative Temporary Boundaries</div>
      <p class="para_topic">When temporary boundaries are created from permanent boundaries, the temporary boundary is associative to the curves and edges from which the permanent boundary was created, and not to the permanent boundary itself. This means that the permanent boundary can be deleted without effecting the temporary boundary.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The one instance in which temporary boundaries can be created as nonassociative boundaries occurs when creating temporary boundaries from points, in which case you have the option of toggling the Associative button Off in the Point Constructor dialog box.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The following sections describe the specific options available to you when creating boundaries. For additional information on the behavior and usage of boundaries specific to a machining module, refer to the appropriate chapter describing that module.</p>
