      <p class="para_topic">If LIBRARY_SETUP_TEMPLATE is defined in the configuration file, then the behavior of setup templates is changed in the following ways: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The system looks to a specific library to retrieve the list of setup templates. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the library your setups are classified by type and subtype for organizational purposes. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">For each setup a description and a list of type templates is included in the library. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The library reference of the setup template is stored in the CAM setup. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Whenever the part containing this setup is opened in Manufacturing, the system reads the library and retrieves the list of type templates that are used in the create dialogs.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Teamcenter Manufacturing Environment</div>
      <p class="para_division">The list of setup templates is stored in a dataset in the Teamcenter database. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Native File Environment</div>
      <p class="para_division">Instead of the OPT file, the list of setup templates is stored in a text file library template.dat. This library is located in UGII_CAM_LIBRARY_TEMPLATE_DIR.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Adding a New Setup to the Library</div>
      <p class="para_division">There are two ways to add a new setup to the library: modify the library directly, or have the system do it for you. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Modifying the Library Directly</div>
      <p class="para_division">If you are in Teamcenter, add a new part file in the CAM Setup Templates folder. </p>
      <p class="para_division">If you are in the native environment, use a text editor to add a new entry to the template.dat file.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Modifying the Library From NX</div>
      <p class="para_division">While in CAM you can use File&rarr;Export&rarr;Setup Template to interactively add your part to the setup library. </p>
      <p class="para_division">To save your part as a setup template in the CAM library, follow the steps below: </p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the Operation Navigator, organize the Manufacturing environment exactly as you want it in new setups.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the Operation Navigator, set the appropriate Template and Load with parent options on each CAM object using MB3&rarr;Object&rarr;Template setting.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you are using a  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/cust_set_assemb.html');return(false);">setup assembly</a>, in the Assembly Navigator, assign the attribute CAM_COMPONENT_TYPE=Target to the target component, to be replaced with the work part when the setup is used.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">While in CAM, Select File&rarr;Export&rarr;Setup Template. The system displays the Library Class Selection dialog.</p>
            <p class="para_item">If Setup Template is not on the menu make sure that your default configuration is using setup libraries, such as cam_library. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the class in which you want to save this setup template part and click OK. The system displays the Templates Attributes dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter a description in the Template Part Description field. The system displays this when you select the setup, so you can select the most appropriate setup. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter whether the part is inch or metric in the Template Attribute2 field. Click OK. The system displays the Type Template List dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the up and down arrows to select the type templates you want available in your create dialogs when you are using this setup. You will need to stretch the width of the dialog to see the full names of the type template parts. Make sure all the type templates you want are in the Defined field, then click OK. </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
