      <p class="para_topic">Thread Geometry allows you to define a thread start and end point by selecting a crest line.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The length of the thread is specified by the length of the crest line. You can modify this length by specification of a start and an end  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_offset_end_line.html');return(false);">offset</a>. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To create a chamfered thread, calculate the offsets manually and set the appropriate offsets (see figure below).</p>
