A positive Lead Angle value leans the tool forward based on the direction of the Tool Path. A negative Lead Angle value (Lag) leans the tool backward based on the direction of the Tool Path.

Tilt Angle defines the angle of the tool side to side. A positive value tilts the tool to the right as you look in the direction of cut. A negative value tilts the tool to the left. Because the tilt angle is dependent on the direction of the cut, the Zig-Zag Cut Type causes the tilt angle to reverse during the Zag pass.

The Minimum and Maximum values specified for Lead and Tilt limit the variability of the Tool Axis accordingly. They define how far the tool can deviate from the specified Lead or Tilt. For example, if the Lead is defined as 20 degrees, the Minimum Lead 15 degrees, and the Maximum Lead 25 degrees, then the axis may deviate from the Lead plus or minus five degrees. The Minimum value must be less than or equal to the corresponding Lead or Tilt value. The Maximum value must be greater than or equal to the corresponding Lead or Tilt value.
