      <p class="para_topic">Normal to Drive allows you to define a Variable Tool Axis perpendicular to the Drive Surface at each the Drive Point. Because this option requires a Drive Surface, it is only available if the Surface Area Drive Method is used.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Normal to Drive can be used to Control Tool Axis movement over very complex Part Surfaces as illustrated below.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The Drive Surface illustrated above was constructed specifically to control the Tool Axis as it machines the Part Surface. Because the Tool Axis follows the contour of the Drive Surface rather than the Part Surface, it has a much smoother Zig-Zag movement.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You may machine the Drive Surface directly as illustrated below when there is no defined Part Surface.</p>
