      <p class="para_topic">Use <b class="uiTerm">Output Contact Data</b>&nbsp;when you want to trigger the output of 3D Contact Point, Contact Normal, and Contact Center in the tool path. &nbsp;When you postprocess, the system sets these variables so that your postprocessor can output 3D cutter compensation or other special features that require this information. &nbsp;
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The contact point is where the cutter touches the part. &nbsp;The contact normal is a unitized vector pointing directly away from the part at the contact point. &nbsp;The contact center is the ball center for a ball end mill. &nbsp;It should not be used for a bull nose or flat end cutter. &nbsp;</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">3D Contact Output deactivates line-fit, arc-fit, and NURBS output.</p>
                     </li>
                     <li>
                        <p class="para_note_body">There is no 3D contact output for non-cutting positions.</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">When using 3D cutter compensation, you need to use a small enough tool so that there are no double contact points, as illustrated in the figure above by the number 2. &nbsp;If the path contains tool positions with multiple contact points, the system will warn you that it can output only one of them. </p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">Contact data is not available to you during normal replay or edit options for the tool path. &nbsp;</p>
