      <p class="para_topic">You can perform various measurements on the faceted body of an In-process Workpiece (IPW) created for a milling or turning operation. By selecting a location on the body in the graphics window, you can perform specific measurements as shown in the following figure:</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">For milling operations, the system also gives additional information about surface types created by a tool cutting the selected surface. The types of surfaces the system recognizes are plane, cylinder, torus, torus sweep, ellipse, sphere, truncated cone, cone, and uncut/cut/rapid cut areas. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To make a measurement on the IPW:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click on your desired location on the IPW in the graphics window. The system finds the closest point on the surface of the IPW to the selected screen position and displays all information about that point.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Alternately, you can enter coordinates at the top of the dialog and select Compute. The system displays the measurement information.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
