Chaining provides a fast method for selecting multiple curves. This option does not allow you to select multiple edges. Select the beginning curve away from the end that you want to be the start point of the boundary, then select the end of the boundary. All joining curves between the two curves will also be selected. For more on Chaining see the NX Gateway Help.

Tool Position

Tool Position determines how the tool will position when it approaches the boundary member. This option allows you to specify the tool position as Tanto or On for each individually selected boundary member or for the entire chain. Choose the desired tool position first and then select the curve, edge, or chain.

If you create a boundary member with the tool position set to On, the system displays a full arrowhead. If you create a boundary with the tool position set to Tanto, only half of the arrowhead displays.
