      <p class="para_topic">This is the virtual machine control panel. It relays the actions taking place in the graphics window. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To simulate your machine tool:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Right-click on the operation in the <b class="uiTerm">Operation Navigator</b>, choose <b class="uiTerm">Tool Path</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Simulate</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">or</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_simulate_machine.gif" border="0"> (<b class="uiTerm">Simulate Machine</b>).  
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">This dialog is <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_high_sys_items.html');return(false);">customizable</a> to reflect your NC controller (<b class="uiTerm">MTD</b> model only).

               <p class="para_td">Indicates which tool the simulation is currently using. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Speed</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the speed of the tool for each tool movement.</p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td">Feed</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the feed for each tool movement.</p>

            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the time the real machine would need to process the operations up to the current state. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Coolant</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the type and status of the coolant.</p>

         </tr>

               <p class="para_td">Display Coordinates</p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specifies whether the position of the tool tip with respect to the CAM machine coordinate system ( <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_coord_sys_in_mtd.html');return(false);">MCS</a>) or the axis position with respect to the axis coordinate system ( <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_coord_sys_in_mtd.html');return(false);">XCS</a>) is shown in the subsequent coordinate fields. Depending upon whether you choose <b class="uiTerm">Tool</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Machine Axes</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Simulation Options</b> dialog, the coordinates shown change to X, Y, Z, I, J, K, or X, Y, Z, A, C, respectively.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">Show the positions of either the tool tip with respect to the CAM machine coordinate system (MCS) or the axis position with respect to the axis coordinate system (XCS), depending on which you choose in the position field above. If you choose tool, the coordinates shown are X, Y, Z, I, J, K and are in relation to the MCS. </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">NC Program</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the NC code as the postprocessor feeds it to the simulation. By selecting an NC code line, the graphics window displays the state of the machine tool when this line is generated.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>
         <tr valign="top">
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Message</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Shows messages generated from the S&amp;V engine. These messages can be information, warnings, or error messages. If you select a message, the graphics window displays the state of the machine tool when this message is produced.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>
         <tr>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Collision</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Displays the collision information in a window. Each collision pair that you selected in the simulation options is displayed here along with its status after simulation. The information is color-coded in colors you specify in the preferences. If the simulation finds a clearance violation, the clearance value is shown.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Single Step</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Selects one of three modes by which you can step through the simulation:</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Block</b> - stops after each individual NC block (for example: G01, G02, G03, M6...)
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Move</b> - stops at every SIM_step command generated by the machine tool driver. Usually this is after every linear or circular motion. A single NC block can be subdivided into one or more single steps.
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Event</b> - a display event is generated at each length or angular increment during single steps. Displaying by event causes the simulation to stop at each of these display events. Stepping by this mode, therefore, causes the most stops in the simulation.
                     </p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
            </td>
         </tr>
         <tr>

               <p class="para_td"> <b class="uiTerm">Show 3D Material Removal</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Shows the material being removed from the IPW during simulation. When you turn this option on, the software might require a bit of time to perform the necessary facet rendering, depending on the complexity of your simulation components.</p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Show 3D Material Removal</b> is enabled if:
               </p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">In-process Workpiece</b> is turned on in the <b class="uiTerm">Simulation Options</b> dialog.
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">The simulation is in the reset state (no code in the NC program window). In this case, <b class="uiTerm">Show 3D Material Removal</b> is active even if the <b class="uiTerm">In-process Workpiece</b> option on the <b class="uiTerm">Simulation Options</b> dialog is off. Turning on <b class="uiTerm">Show 3D Material Removal</b> turns on the IPW. Subsequently turning off <b class="uiTerm">Show 3D Material Removal</b> leaves IPW turned on.
                     </p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
            </td>
         </tr>

               <p class="para_td">Displays the tool path. By default, the tool path is invisible. Showing the tool path more readily identifies potential problem areas in the simulation.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Saves the posted tool path to your operating system. This option is active if you have activated the <b class="uiTerm">Cache NC Program</b> option in the <b class="uiTerm">Simulation Options</b> dialog and if the end_of_buffer flag has been reached.

               <p class="para_td">Returns to the beginning of the simulation and returns all the fields to their original values. This function does not reset the configuration settings.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Speed</b></p>
            </td>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Determines how many display events are generated for a motion. If you use a small animation speed, the simulation will generate many display events, but will be slow. If you use a high animation speed, the simulation skips display events so that it can move more quickly.</p>
