      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Turning's Teachmode gives you the control to perform fine finishing on Turning work. To do this you can build the tool path by defining rapid and feed rate positioning moves, engage and retract settings, and continuous path cutting moves. You can also add UDE's as suboperations at any position. While defining continuous path cutting moves, you can control the cutter over sections of the boundary, specify start and end positions, and define the direction for each continuous cut.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Accessing Teachmode</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Main Dialog for the Teachmode operation allows the creation and modification of multiple suboperations of the available types. General operation settings can be specified here.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To access the Teachmode Dialog:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">push the Create Operation Icon  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_create_operation.gif" border="0"> or
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">select Insert &rarr; Operation from the main menu bar or</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">use MB3 on the geometry (geometry view in the Operation Navigator) for which you would like to create an operation and choose Insert &rarr; Operation </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">then</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">select Turning from the available templates in the Create Operation Dialog</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">select Teachmode using  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/teach/icon_teachmode.gif" border="0"></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">enter the desired Program, Geometry, Tool, Method and Name of operation</p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Position your tool using the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_teach_rapid_motn.html');return(false);">Linear Rapid</a>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/teach/rapid_icon.gif" border="0">, or  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_teach_linear_feed.html');return(false);">Linear Feed</a>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/teach/lin_feed_icon.gif" border="0"> suboperations.

            <p class="para_item">Create  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_teach_curve_motn.html');return(false);">Follow Curve</a>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/teach/follow_curve_icon.gif" border="0"> motions.

            <p class="para_item">You may insert User Defined Events  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/teach/user_def_icon.gif" border="0"> at any point in the process (see <cite class="titleReference">Manufacturing General Help</cite> &rarr; Common Operation Options &nbsp;&rarr; Machine Control Events).

            <p class="para_item">Any remaining necessary tool positioning may be done using Avoidance, Linear Rapid or Linear Feed.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>

            <p class="para_item">Try to make each Teachmode operation as simple as possible (i.e., with as few suboperations as possible). Typically, a Teachmode operation should contain no more than two follow curve motions per operation.</p>
         </li>
